Courtney Alexander is a multimedia artist, writer, and educator based in Indianapolis, IN. In 2016, she launched Dust II Onyx, the first widely recognized Black tarot deck, breaking new ground and opening doors for Black tarot creators who followed. In 2024, she introduced Tarot Through the Spiral, the first tarot system to integrate African cosmology. Her latest project, Black x Sage, is a platform dedicated to community healing and empowerment through art, education, and media.Courtney’s artistic practice weaves together divination and ritual across mediums, including her short film God Is, which invites viewers into a profound exploration of self-reverence and divinity. As a speaker and teacher, she shares insights on empowerment and self-liberation, guiding audiences toward personal and collective transformation. Through her diverse body of work, Courtney inspires others to use their creative gifts for healing and to build communities rooted in liberation, joy, and connection.
